Wishing all our followers a Happy New Year goes without says, however 2016 is a rather special Year for the Northern Ireland Bonsai Society. We celebrate 30 years of the club this year and to mark the event we are holding a special exhibition this September 17th & 18th at the Botanic Gardens in Belfast. The Event is titled ‘Bonsai 30’ for obvious reasons but also will feature an exhibition of 30 of the best bonsai we can find in Ireland. The event is running along side the Belfast City Council’s Autumn Flower Festival and will ensure great numbers through the door over the weekend and will add to what’s on offer on the day to those who make the effort to attend.
We are holding a number of extra days/ events during the year to mark the occasion and also to help us raise the funds required to make Bonsai 30 that little bit ‘extra special’.
If you live in Ireland and think you have a tree worthy of making the top 30, please drop us an email to firstname.lastname@example.org. We already have some trees selected, some from as far away as Cork! We will have limited guest space available for others wanting to display at the event, joining us in our celebration. In total we aim to have over 100 bonsai on display at the event in total.
Watch this site for further updates soon about what we have available during the year.
