The Northern Ireland Bonsai Society would like to invite you along to the Bonsai Experience in Botanic Gardens Belfast on Saturday 27th June 2015. The event is supported by Belfast City Council and we have the use of the amazing gardens right in the heart of Belfast within touching distance of some of the best attractions.
This is an event for all the family, not just Bonsai enthusiasts.
You can view top quality bonsai displayed the way bonsai are meant to be exhibited. You can have a guided tour of exhibits with each trees origin and style explained.
We have a free Children’s workshop (20 places) for young people 5- 17 years old. A great way to take your steps into bonsai under instruction from experienced bonsai enthusiasts. Each child will take home their workshop tree.
If you have a bonsai and want advice on care and styling, or if it’s in poor health, bring it along to our free advice clinic.
Take a walking tour around the beautiful Botanic Gardens and see how bonsai mimics trees in nature by looking at examples of some of the stunning collections of trees available.
Visit the Palm House, built in 1839 and see the amazing collection of rare plants on display.
You are within 200 metres of the Ulster Museum, with free entry to hours worth of viewing.
Visit Belfast – Take a walk down Great Victoria Street into Belfast shopping area or check out the grounds of Queens University.
Exhibitors and workshop participants can even grab a free burger from the BBQ.
