Tree Species: Japanese White Pine (Pinus parviflora)

History: 

A very humble little White Pine that is believed to have started out as nursery stock. The original owner and creator was Marius Andrzejak, who was a club member although living in Dublin at the time. Back around 2010 Marius moved away for a few years and left his collection of Ian Young. What was meant to be only 2 soon became 5 years and Marius realised that he wouldn’t be coming back to Ireland and the climate were he was would be suitable for the trees. He kindly donated his collection to the NIBS and told Ian to keep one as a thank you fore the care given. This is the one he kept.
