Our meeting is this Friday 13th April @ 8pm and in preparation for the Spring Show on the 21st April, and just for fun, we are going to play with shohin display at the meeting. We’ll have our box stand there and are asking members who have any shohin sized trees to bring them along so we can try a few things out.
Feel free to bring along any trees for work and also trees for show preparation.

That’s our calendar updated for 2018. just click on the ‘Calendar 2018’ tab at the top for the dates of forthcoming meetings and events. Keep checking back as event dates will be added as we confirm.
It’s tonight but please don’t run for the hills! Come and join us. The business won’t take long and we can get back to the real world and work on trees.
Folks, Tonights meeting and AGM has been cancelled by the club due to the snowfall overnight and during today. Roads are expected to freeze after 7pm and will make travel to the meeting dangerous. We have therefore decided to cancel the meeting and postpone the AGM until the January meeting.
An email will be sent to all members as confirmation. Shut the door, light your fire if you have one and relax in a winter wonderland. Merry Christmas to you all and see you in January.
Just sharing a few images of our Club Workshop Weekend with Peter Warren.
We kept him busy with two packed days and members also attending from our sister clubs in Munster and Leinster.
Peter’s common sense approach to workshops is refreshing with work on trees being done on an ‘as needed’ basis when the tree is ready and the timing is right for it. His knowledge of all things bonsai is impressive and his ability to teach at a level suitable for each person was a real bonus. Feedback form all the participants was extremely positive and all are keen to do it all again soon.
Thanks for a great weekend Peter, see you again next year.
Here’s the pics capturing the two days showing those taking part and a few of the trees in various stages of work and in no particular order.
